Ownful ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App") and related services. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide and improve the App's features, such as inventory tracking, usage logs, and decluttering tools.
- Personal Information: When you register or use the App, we may collect: email address (for account creation, notifications, and waitlist signups), Google account details (via Google login for authentication), and user-generated content such as item names, photos, notes, categories, locations, and usage history.
- Automatically Collected Information: We collect device information (e.g., IP address, device type, OS version), usage data (e.g., app interactions, timestamps), and analytics (e.g., session duration) to improve functionality.
- Location Data: If enabled (e.g., for item tagging), we collect approximate location from your device or IP.
We do not collect sensitive personal data (e.g., health, financial) unless voluntarily provided in notes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide core App features (e.g., storing items in Supabase, generating usage insights).
- Improve the App (e.g., analyzing anonymized usage patterns for bug fixes or new features).
- Communicate with you (e.g., launch updates, account notifications).
- Ensure security and prevent fraud (e.g., via authentication logs).
- Comply with legal obligations.
We may use aggregated, anonymized data for research or marketing purposes.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Service providers (e.g., Supabase for data storage, Google for login, Stripe/RevenueCat for payments in premium features).
- Legal authorities if required (e.g., subpoenas).

All sharing is limited to what's necessary and protected by agreements.

5. Your Rights and Choices
- Access, update, or delete your data via App settings or by emailing edward@edchoapps.com.
- Opt out of notifications in settings.
- For EU/UK users (GDPR): Rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
- For California users (CCPA): Rights to know, delete, and opt-out of sales (none occur).
Requests processed within 30 days; we may retain data for legal reasons.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children; contact us to delete if suspected.
7. International Data Transfers
Data is stored in Supabase (global servers); we ensure adequate protections for cross-border transfers (e.g., standard contractual clauses).

We may update this Policy; changes posted in-App with effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
